Welcome to the Discovery Preschool Summer Program of 2008. We are excited to share the Discovery experience with current, past and new students ages 4 through 10.

TEACHING STAFF: Your teaching staff this summer will be Jan Kerch- the lead teacher and curriculum development staff and Ashley Chipman – co-teacher. Ashley is our newest member of the Discovery Preschool team. She is currently majoring in Early Childhood at Moraine Park Technical College. Mrs. Kerch is especially thrilled to welcome Ashley – Ashley is one of her past students, a Discovery Preschool alumni!

FIELD TRIP: Due to the shorter summer schedule there will only be one field trip – the “Wild West” events on Thursday, July 17. I am still working out a few details and will announce the location closer to the day. Parent volunteers and drivers are needed.

OPEN DOOR POLICY: Parents and friends are always welcome to join us in our daily fun. We have several special events planned such as – fencing demonstration, royal festival, chariot races and more. Please feel free to call the preschool at 748 –3493 or Jan Kerch at 748 – 5434 with any questions you may have.

LOTS OF MAN AND LADY POWER!!
Adults for cleaning, sorting and organizing
Adults to supervise children in the basement as we work
Send an alternate friend or family member if you can not come.
GARBAGE BAGS
PAPER TOWEL
CLEANING BUCKETS
CLEANING SOLUTIONS
TOILET BOWEL CLEANER

Discovery Preschool is an exciting hands –on learning environment for almost 60 students. We are very busy the 166 school days creating these wonderful experiences. We are also very messy!

PLEASE FIND A FEW HOURS TO ASSIST IN CLEANING THE SCHOOL.
Unfortunately in the past years, only the teachers and a handful of parents are present for the cleaning day. This is a great chance for you to socialize with other preschool families and the teachers. The cleaning day is a fun activity, as well as an opportunity for you to give the preschool some much-needed help!
